Absolutely exceptional restaurant 5 minutes from the centre. Overlooked by the crowdsf this is an absolute find. Not only is the food imaginative and exceptionally well cooked - but the service is friendly attentive and quick. By Tallinn standards the prices are also very very affordable. Ignore the tourist traps in the town hall square and give this place a try..

An interesting restaurant in old convent building (Latin block), one of the oldest part of the city. It is accessible from St. Catherine's Passage (Katariina käik) and from the Vene Street. Not crowded, with very friendly staff and they offer among other things exceptionally well prepared hot wine, invaluable during winter cold.
